Better late than never....

for Christmas pictures that is....lol. I finally got Nathan's first Christmas scrapped! It's only taken me a month and a half. Boy and I thought I was slow getting Bri's birthday pictures done. All of the papers and elements that I've used in these three layouts are from the Holiday Traditions kit that my good friend 3s enough asked me to work with her on. All three templates were also made by 3s enough. I'm her first official CT member!!!

This one was made using her Project 365 week 4 template:
This one is using Template #127
And last but not least, this is using Template #145:

I got all of these done tonight, and I think this is the most scrapping (other working on kits) that I've done in awhile. I go through the kids' folders and see how far behind I am on getting their pages put together that I feel like I'll never catch up!

We've got a lovely stomach bug going around our house today. Dad woke up with it this morning, and now I think poor Nathan has got it too. I'm hoping that Zack will be missed by it, the poor little guy has been through enough in the last few days. He got his tonsils and adenoids removed on thursday, got tubes put in his ears, and had a small cyst removed from his neck just above his collar bone. We were just supposed to spend thursday night at the hospital, but by friday afternoon, he wasn't drinking enough for them to feel comfortable letting him go home. But by early saturday afternoon -- what a way to start valentines-- we'd gotten him to drink enough for them to spring him. So far he's done really good drinking enough to keep from getting dehydrated, but if he gets this pukey bug too, I'm afraid he'll stop that all together. I hate to think of what getting sick would feel like on his poor little throat!

Well I think I'm off for tonight... Don't forget to send in your layouts using the new Adore kit to get the add-on gift that 3s enough and I have put together! We'd love to see our kit in action!

Have a good night all!

Hugs,

Michele

Holiday Traditions Add-on and a layout

Hi all!! Yesterday was Nathan's First Birthday!!! I can't believe he's one already, it seems like just yesterday he was born and we were bringing him home. We didn't really do much. We're going to have cake and family over next weekend, to space out a little bit from Christmas. I put together this lay out of his first year:

The template is from my friend 3s_enough at Midnight Scrapping, it's her template #142, although I did add a picture space to get all the photos in that I wanted. The paper in the background is from Ashalee Wall Design's Dirt kit.

I made a few extra word art as an add-on to the collaboration kit that I did with 3s_enough:

I did 3 additional word art, each one is in done in both silver and gold. If you'd like these, click on the preview to download. I occasionally paste the wrong link in, so if you have any trouble with the link please email me at shelemcbee at msn dot com.

You can find the previews and download links to our Holiday Traditions kit here for Part 1 and here for Part 2. 3s_enough will also be releasing an add-on on her blog, I'll add the link and preview for that when she does.

I think I'm off for the night, Nathan is sleeping soundly, now I just need to get Zack to bed. Have a good night!!

Hugs,
Michele

All went well...

with Nathans tube surgery. We went in on the 10th. Got to the hospital at 6am for his 7:30 surgery. They took him back about 7:25, and we got called back to sit with him while he woke up about 7:45, and were headed home by 8:15. He's doing well so far, not really too much pain. He had some balance issues before, couldn't sit on the floor without falling to one side or the other every few minutes, but almost all of that is gone now. He's walking a lot straighter now, doesn't fall as much, is trying to run every where! He was also having trouble judging where corners and doorways were, but hasn't run into one since he got home, unless one of the big kids are being too helpful. I think we made the right decision as far as having the tubes put in, now we just have to wait see if the constant ear infections go away.

On other news, Brianna has finally lost her first tooth!! It was so loose when she pulled it that it didn't even bleed, which was probably a good thing...lol. Now the one that next to it is starting to wiggle, so we'll see how long that one takes.

Zack goes back to see his ENT at Children's next month, to have the cyst on his neck re-looked at, and to see if the spot his pediatrician noticed at his check up last week is what she thinks it is.

Dustin is getting excited for Christmas break, although I'm not sure I'm ready for it...lol. 6 kids home with my all day for 2 weeks should be interesting.

I think that's all for now, I don't have any new layouts to share today, I've fallen even farther behind with my scrap booking from all the appointments we've had the last few weeks. Have a good day!

Hugs,
Michele
